A excellent safari for those with only 2 weeks is the following:
Day 1- Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport and spend the rest of the day relaxing and shopping.
Day 2- Transfer to the Mpumalanga via the Panoramic Route which offers fantastic vantage points in which to enjoy many of the historic and beautiful places in Mpumalanga. Pilgrim's Rest, the Mac Mac Falls and the Kruger National Park are all closely situated.
Days 3 & 4-Time to explore the Kruger National Park while searching for game. This Park is one of the most famous places in South Africa and indeed one of the most famous game reserves in the World. It is the size of many European countries and contains the 'Big 5' animals.
Days 5 & 6- Return to Johannesburg International Airport and your flight to Sun City. Sun City is the entertainment capital of Africa which boasts 4 stunning hotels, beautiful gardens, 2 championship golf courses, gambling on slot machines and tables, a water world, adult entertainment, crocodile farm and nearby game reserve.
Days 7-11-Flight to Cape Town, one of the most stunningly situated cities in the world. Over the next five days take a guided tour of the Cape Peninsula and Cape Point, spend a full day wine-tasting at Stellenbosch, explore the city and visit Table mountain, go to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated and maybe see the Humpback whale in Hermanus Bay.
Day 12- Return flight home.

Other attractions are the capital Pretoria, hiking, trekking and horseback riding in the Drakensbergs, the cultural life of Zululand and relaxing in the coastal town of Durban.
Although you could easily spend your entire vacation here, consider extending
your visit to include Namibia, Botswana
or Victoria Falls.
